Covid-19 / Announcement Regarding Required Declaration Of A Negative Sars-cov-2 Pcr Test At Turkey’s Points Of Entry
In accordance with the measures of the Republic of Turkey’s Ministry of Health, effective 29 December 2020, all airline passengers traveling to Turkey from abroad will be required to present a negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR test conducted within 72 hours of their travel. This rule will be applied starting 30 December 2020 for all travelers entering Turkey via land and sea routes. Passengers who fail to present a negative PCR test will not be admitted to board their flight to Turkey.
Passengers who do not present a negative PCR test to authorities at Turkey’s point of entry will be required to quarantine at their declared address (home, hotel etc.). Passengers without a declared address will be required to quarantine at a location selected by the Ministry of Health.
On the 7th day of their quarantine, passengers will undergo a PCR test. Passengers with a negative PCR test result will end their quarantine process. Passengers with positive PCR test result will be treated in accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
This requirement is not applicable for transit and transfer passengers.
These measures will be effective until 1 March 2021.
